Journey to Jiun
The little Cessna weaved between snow-capped peaks, bumping onto a dirt strip 9,000 feet above sea level. Our bags strapped to mules, we set off for Jiun village, a 7-hour trek down (and back up!) a monstrous valley. Green patchwork fields splashed the ochre hillsides, dotted with flocks. Horse or people-back were the only transport, and we encountered regular mule trains on the well- made paths. The villages, too, cling to the sheer slopes – each flat, earth-covered roof being another’s yard. But for the squalour and lack of medical care, this could be paradise. Treated as family, we sat on mats, ate dhal baat, and drank Tibetan butter tea, huddled round the wood-stove in the kitchen.School of Healing
They’d never had such a meeting; people had walked days to come. Faith levels were high, and many were healed. A young boy was healed of a bad ankle as another tiny lad laid hands on him. 1) Martha had pain in her shoulder and back for years. She’d also experienced evil spirits and nightmares. She placed our Manual under her pillow. The darkness fled, but the pain remained. The other had hearing loss in her right ear. It improved until she was totally healed. Two onlookers asked for prayer! One had bad hearing, the other poor eyesight. Both improved. Then a man came out of his shop with chest pain. Again the team prayed and all the pain left. 6) Pastor Ranbir Nepali was at Bible College at Pokhara and attended the School of Healing there in 2012. He had suffered from headaches for more than 6 months and at that meeting was completely healed. He encouraged everyone not to doubt. 7) Bishnu was in the jungle cutting some grass some years ago, when she felt something fall into her eyes. She had pain and irritation since then. It was extremely painful. John laid hands on her eyes and the pain left. She cried for joy.
